I’m Adam B. I like sports. I also like cats and I have a black cat named Molly. The last book that I read is Abduction. It is a story about a little boy named Matt that gets abducted by his real father. The book then tells how everyone tries to find him but his father tries to keep him from being found.
My favorite book of all time is Oh Yuck and it is fun to read. I like the book because it is about disgusting things and it is fun to read. The author of this book is Joy Masoff. The book is non fiction.
I like books that are realistic fiction because I can often relate to the story. My reading goal is to read at least 8 Mark Twain books by the end of the school year!

My name is Breland B. I like baseball, basketball, football, and hunting. Stuff I don’t like is homework, math, and reading.
The book I just got done reading was ABDUCTION. This book is about a kid named Matt who lived with his mother and older sister Bonnie. His dad kidnapped him and told him that his mom and sister died in a car accident. His dad colored his hair with shoe polish and made him were glasses too. Then he took him to a pro baseball game. Why he was there his sister Bonnie noticed him even with the disguises.

The types of books I like are scary books. I also like mysteries books too. I like mysteries because they let you try to find out the mystery but you are usually wrong and some times right. I like scary books because they are interesting and I like to be scared. The thing I want to accomplish is to read at least 5 Mark Twain award books this year. I want to read at least 5 of the books so I can vote for the best Mark Twain.

My name is Catherine and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I love owls because there is no end to learning about owls. I also like to draw, I could draw all day but I don’t. Some of my dislikes are DOGS…I HATE DOGS! Homework too, it seems to go on and on forever.
The last book I read was Cabin on Trouble Creek. It is about two kids that have to guard their home. This book is a fiction genre. What I liked about this book is the way it makes you think how you would be in a situation like that. My FAVORITE BOOK I MEAN MY FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME…is… oh yes Eragon. It is by the one and only Christopher Paolini! This book is about a boy named Eragon finding a strange egg in the woods just to find out it is a dragon egg. You should check out the book for your self if you want to know more about Eragon. Of course I had to like the book for some reason. So I guess I should tell you. Well I like this book because it is so cool to hear about all of the neat stuff they do like when they are in wars or flying in the night sky.
The types of books I like to read are scary books of course. I love reading scary books because it always makes you want to read more.
My future goa is to read 15 Mark Twain books.

The last book I read was The OLD WILLIS PLACE. I liked this book because it was a scary story and I like scary stories. So if you like scary stories ,then I recommend this book to you .Well, I pretty much liked the whole book .This book is fiction and the author is Mary Downing Hahn. My favorite book of all time is THE OLD WILLIS PLACE! I really like this book because it is really fascinating . I like to read scary books because they are exciting and scary of course.
My goal for the year is to read all the MarkTwain books.

My favorite number is 2.The last book that I read is called, The Young Man and the SEA. The author is, Rodman Philbrick. The genre is historical fiction. In this book little Skiff Beamen`s boat the Mary Rose sank. His dad is a royal bum and won`t help his own son raise the boat. Read this book to find out how he will get enough money to fix the engine. I liked this book because I am the same age as him and I can imagine some of these things happening to me.
My favorite book of all time is called, The Thief of Always. The author of this book is Clive Barker. The genre is fantasy. In this book kids turn into fish and 1 day in this force field =1year in the real world. There are also 6 evil ghosts in this book .I liked this book because there are many mysteries.

My reading goal is to have all 20 of the Mark Twain nominees read by May 1st .I also want to read most of the fantasy books by the end of the school year.

The last book that I read was The Last Holiday Concert. It was a good book. It was about a boy who shot a rubber-band at his teacher and then he had to be in charge of the concert. I really liked this book because it was funny and sad at the same time. My favorite book of all time was the Deltora Quest books. The author of these books was Emily Rodda. The genre of the book is adventure. I really liked this book because I like adventure books and this is a really good adventure book. I like to read adventure, and horror books. The last book I read was Old Willis Place by Mary Downing Hahn. I have written a short summary about the book. This book is about a girl Diana and her brother Georgie. Diana has some problems when a new caretaker appears to take care of the Old Willis Place. But this caretaker is different because he has a daughter. Diana is willing to break the rules to have a friend. Lissa thinks that something is suspicious about the Old Willis even though Ms.Willis died a decade (ten years) ago.
I like to read fantasy and historical fiction. Fantasy is one of my favorite genres to read because the video games I usually play are fantasy and I thought it was sort of the same thing. Because you feel like you are going to a fantasy place when you read that type of book, you are going to the same place when you look at the TV while playing a video game.
The reading goal I want to accomplish is to read 15 Mark Twain award books for 2006-2007 by March 20, 2007. Please send me a comment.

Hello, people in the world! I am Mackenzie M. I like to do ballet. Sometimes it is hard, but I get through it. The reason I like it is because I get to perform on stage with a lot of people in the crowd that came to watch me.

The last book I read was Buttermilk Hill written by Ruth White. The genre of the book is realistic fiction. I liked this book because I could really relate to it. My mom and dad are both remarried and have kids like the main character in the book. Piper lives in a really small town called Buttermilk Hill. One night she heard her mom and dad fighting. Soon after Piper’s parents got a divorce her dad got remarried. Melba, her dad’s wife, had 2 sons that played baseball. Then they soon found out that they were having a little girl. Piper’s mom starts going back to college. She met a man named Guy. Piper feels that she doesn’t have any place in the family anymore.

My favorite book of all time is Guess How Much I Love You. The author is Sam McBratney. The genre of this book is fiction. I like this book so much because my aunt used to read it to me before I went to bed. The types of books I like to read are realistic fiction because I can to relate to them. My future reading goal is to read all of the Mark Twain books.

My name is Cheyenne and I just want to tell you a little something about my self. First of all I have two cats, and one dog. Right now I play soccer and then once basketball starts I’m joining that too. What I don’t like to have a lot of is homework. Something else that I don’t like is when me and my friends get mad at each other. Well enough about me why don’t I tell about the books I’ve been reading. The last book that I read was Toes. This book is written by Tor Seidler. This book is fiction and it is also on the 2006-2007 Mark Twain nominee lists. So if you would like to read some of the Mark Twains so that you can vote for 2007-2008 Mark Twains you should read this book. I mainly liked this book because it was about an amazing and adventurous cat. This book is about a cat named Toes. In the Beginning of this book Toes has brothers and sisters that hate him because of his paws. They thought he was a mutant because he had seven toes on each paw instead of five toes. So he runs away and gets really scared because of jack-o-lanterns so he went to an abandon house and got trapped there for months until the owner Sebastian found him, and they became the best of friends. Well, I don’t want to ruin the whole book for you.
My favorite book is Guess How Much I Love You.The author of this book is Sam McBratney. This is my favorite book because it was the book my mom gave me when she lived in Texas. She read it to me and then I kept reading it until I memorized the words so I read to all of my family members. It is my special book because it is the first book I ever read without any help from an adult.
The types of books that I like to read are Mark Twains, mysteries, and books where the animal has a point of view. I like these books because they are more interesting and if you read four Mark Twains you get to vote on your favorite one for the following year. And when you read a mystery it makes you stay on the edge of your seat, and it makes it to where you never want to stop reading the book. The goal that I want to meet is reading all 20 Mark Twain books by March 20, 2006.

The last book I read was Cabin on Trouble Creek. The book is about a dad and his two sons who go out and build a cabin in the woods. Then the dad goes back to Pennsylvania. But does the dad with the family ever come back to Ohio. The author of this book is Jean Van Leewuen, the genre of this book is historic fiction. The things I liked about this book was that it didn’t tell what happened to the family until the end of the book Also it told good details about what happened to the kids.
My favorite book of all time is Cabin on Trouble Creek.
The types of books that I like to read are survival stories. I like to read these kinds of books because I like to hear about people having to survive in the forest and in the wild, also in the deserts. My future reading goals are to read at least 15 Mark Twain books by the end of the school year. I have already read 3 and a half books, so I only have to read 12 and a half books to meet my goal.

Thunder helps everyone from a tidal wave, earth quake, and helped Fiona from a snow storm when she was going to have a baby. Tom is a boy from an orphanage and is like everyone else he helps around the house. Tom also helped Fiona when she was going to have a baby. The author is Joan Hatti Harlow. The genre is nonfiction. I did like this book because it teaches a lesson. My favorite book is Captain Under Pants. The genre is fiction. I liked this book because it’s funny has gross parts and it's fiction. Types of books I like to read are joke books, mysteries, and fiction. I like joke books so I can tell jokes. I like mysteries because they make you wonder what’s going to happens next. I like fiction because I do. One of my goals is to like to read. I‘d like to read all Mark Twain’s this year.

The last book I have read was The Young Man and the Sea. Here is a summary about this book. This book is about a boy named Samuel Beaman. His nickname is “Skiff”. His favorite boat sinks. This boat’s name is “Rose”. The engine gets ruined so he has to earn money to fix it. On this dangerous journey, he goes through mudworms, lobsters, crooks, big fish, bandits and angels.
My favorite book of all time is “The New Kid on the Block”. The author’s name is Jack Prelutsky. The genre of this book is poems. I like this book because the poems in it are really funny.
The types of books I like to read are mystery, humorous things, and sometimes fairy tales that are funny. I like them because it makes me laugh my head off.
My future reading goal is to read all of the Mark Twain books by May 1, 2007. I am also going to read all of the Mark Twain books for 2007!

Hi. I’m Kelsey. Would you like to know more about me? Well, first of all, I have a little brother named Tyler. He is in Second Grade. I also have a dog named Cody. He is brown, has a fluffy tail, and has the nose of a Cocker Spaniel. I also like Pizza and the school’s pretzels and cheese. I love their mashed potatoes. I love to read, and I have lots of friends. I really want to be a writer when I get older. I love to write too. So far I’ve written four stories. Each of my stories are about sixty pages long.
One of the last books I read is actually one of my favorites. It is in a series called Nancy Drew. It is mystery 162 and is called The Case of the Lost Song. It is by Caroline Keene. It is about Bess, Nancy, and George. Bess, Nancy, and George go to a show called Old Can Be Gold, each girl with something to be appraised there, Nancy and George run out of luck because both their items are either fake or copies, but when Bess goes up to get her old tape recorder appraised, she discovers that it is worth almost a fortune. It has the last song of Louie Knight’s band just before they split up. No one has ever heard the old song before so it is considered a lost song. But when the girls go to a party with a friend and roommate named Lisa, the tape recorder is stolen. So Nancy takes it into her own hands to find it before they leave to go back home to River Heights in two days.
The genre is Fiction. I love this book because it is full of action and mysteries. I like mysteries a lot. I especially love all the Nancy Drew books. All the Nancy Drew books that I’ve read in the past are great. There may be more old Nancy Drew books than there are new ones, but I like them all.
My favorite books of all time are The Case of the Lost Song and Escape to West Berlin. I like them both so much I just can’t choose. I really like to read Fiction. I also like to write Fiction. But I like it because things happen in fiction stories that can’t ever happen and never will. I also like it because the types of characters you can make up. It’s fun to write it because you get to make up the character. It isn’t already made up for you.
My future goals are to read at least ten Mark Twains, and to stay in KMH all year long. I would like to read Worth. This is on the Mark Twain list.

Hi! My name is Tyler F. Let me tell you a little bit about me. My hobbies are ice skating, Rollerblading, playing football, reading, hanging out with my friends and basketball. In school I don’t have a favorite subject, but I just don’t like math as much.
The last books I read were The Series of Unfortunate Events. And they were very good books! Right now I am reading Al Capone Does My Shirts. It’s a very good book about a boy named Moose and his dad is an electrician. After a while of working for a company who doesn’t pay well, Moose and his Family has to move to Alcatraz. There, Moose and his sister Natalie go to school and meet new friends just like normal kids do. Except these kids aren’t as nice. But Moose is still very upset that he had to move away from his best friend. But then it turns out Natalie isn’t like other kids. So then every body starts to dislike her. But Natalie’s mom had always been worried about and so she sent her to a private school named Esther P. Marnioff. And Natalie had to come back home. But Moose met some other friends. But one day when a girl named Piper came up to him she had a deal to make with him. Her and some friends were going to have other people give them their clothes for a dime and then they would be washed by the famous killers and robbers on Alcatraz! So it was a great book.
But my favorite book of all time was “I’m Not Who You Think I Am!” By Peg Kheret. This book was about a girl who has a theory that she is adopted. And then one weekend when Taylor’s parents were gone a woman tried to convince her she was her daughter! This is a great book and I encourage you to read it!
